Mitch Rapp is America's most lethal CIA operative — and the hero of one of the most popular spy thriller series ever written. Flynn's no-holds-barred counter-terrorism thrillers defined the post-9/11 thriller.
About Vince Flynn
Vince Flynn (1966–2013) created Mitch Rapp after being rejected by dozens of publishers — he self-published Term Limits in 1997 and sold it from the trunk of his car. Word of mouth drove it onto bestseller lists and earned him a major publishing deal.
The Mitch Rapp series became a phenomenon, with each novel debuting at #1 on the New York Times list. Rapp — a CIA counterterrorism operative who operates outside official constraints — resonated with American readers in the years following 9/11.
After Flynn's death from cancer in 2013, his estate selected Kyle Mills to continue the series. Mills has written 12 Rapp novels and is widely praised for faithfully extending Flynn's creation. A film adaptation, American Assassin, was released in 2017.
