Six of Crows was heavily influenced by Gentleman Bastards — both feature morally grey thieves pulling heists in a fantasy city. If you loved one, you will likely love the other. Gentleman Bastards is darker in tone and the world-building is more grounded.
No — as of 2025, only three books have been published (2006, 2007, 2013). Book 4 (The Thorn of Emberlain) has been announced but not published. The series is ongoing but publication has been very slow.
